Sociology competition for 5th and 6th year students

Competition
 
5th and 6th year students are invited to submit either a 2,000 word article or a 3 minute video on the topic of minority rights in Ireland.
 
Please Note:  You must get the permission of anyone in your video who is not part of a crowd and is easily recognizable.
 
Submissions may address the issue of Ireland’s record in relation to minority rights generally or may address the challenges facing and/or rights accorded to one specific minority in Ireland. Videos might address issues facing groups whose minority status stems from difference on the basis of their ethnicity, religion, disability, nationality, legal status, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity or subcultural identity for example.  
 
Group entries are welcome.
 
The deadline for receipt of entries is Friday 28th of April  2017. 
 
One 4 All vouchers to the value of €150, €100 and €50 will be awarded for first, second and third place respectively. All entries will receive a certificate of participation. Entrants will be invited to a prize-giving ceremony at the University of Limerick.
