Experiencing Homelessness in Contemporary Ireland

Abstract: Erica will talk about the realities of coming from a "working class" family/area and how that impacts on educational attainment. She will also discuss homelessness and how she became a campaigner for homeless families.

 

Erica Fleming is 31 year old single parent. She is homeless and has been living in a hotel since 2015. She has featured in an RTÉ documentary My Homeless Family and has become a very vocal campaigner and activist for homeless people in Ireland today.
