Secondary School School of Law Essay Competition 2016/2017
The School of Law at the University of Limerick invites all post-junior certificate students to submit an essay of approximately 1,000 words on one of the following topics:
  1.  ‘100 years since the 1916 proclamation and despite the aspirations of equality for all, Ire-land is still a deeply unequal society’
  2.  ‘Article 41.2 of the Constitution on the women in the home demonstrates a lack of respect for women in Ireland’
  3.  ‘Should surrogacy be legally permitted and regulated in Ireland or should it be prohibited?’
  4.  ‘Are the needs of victims of crime in Ireland today being met?’
  5.  ‘Should a person’s previous criminal record always be available to employers and juries?’
