IP and Innovation Law Café
IP and Innovation Law Café
We are pleased to announce the next event of the re-styled IP and Innovation Law Café at the University of LImerick. Going beyond Intellectual Property rights the Café will explore the impact of technological innovation in the commercial world and society in general. Designed for practitioners, business people, academics and anyone who has to deal with IP or Innovation issues on a daily basis or is just curious about the role Intellectual Property plays in innovation and the modern commercial world, the Café is a series of afternoon engagements focussed around a specific topic with input from a recognised expert in the field. It is then followed by lively discussion among all the participants providing for networking, peer learning and development in the crucial area of Intellectual Property. This month the Café will discuss the growing role of data acquisition in the development and implementation of new technologies and the impact that the latest EU Regulation, which will come into force in 2018, will have on research, using both medical research and autonomous vehicles as case studies.
