Forum: Reflections on the 2016 Irish General Election

Forum: Reflections on the 2016 Irish General Election

Wednesday, 16th March
Room: C0079
2.00 PM

The recent election has produced the most fragmented political landscape in the history of the state. Was the election a genuine political earthquake, or was it simply an aftershock from the real earthquake that occurred in 2011? How should we interpret the outcome of the election? What are the options now for government formation and political reform? These are some of the questions that will be addressed by the panel, which includes Maura Adshead, James McBride and Rory Costello from the Department of Politics and Public Administration. Contributions from the audience are very much encouraged.

All welcome!
