Entrance Requirements:
Applicants are required to hold at the time of enrolment the established Leaving Certificate (or an approved equivalent) with at least Grade C3 in two Higher Level subjects and Grade D3 in four Ordinary or Higher Level subjects (including Mathematics; Irish or another language; and English).

Applicants are required to submit a Portfolio and Statement.

Mature Applicants:
Applications are particularly welcome from mature candidates (at least 23 years of age on the 1st of January of year of registration).  Mature candidates must, in addition to the UL application form, submit a portfolio and statement and may subsequently be invited to interview. Interviews are expected to take place by mid-July. The portfolio should demonstrate the candidate’s interest and motivation for studying architecture and how work experience to date supports this motivation. Suitable areas for portfolio presentation are drawing, painting, graphics, photography, woodworking, ceramics, sketchbooks, design journals illustrating the design process followed in a project, printmaking, textiles, dress or clothes making, sculpture, computer game design, or any other visual media that demonstrate your interest, experience, and aptitude in creative and graphic areas.

Application forms are available from the Admissions Office and the closing date for receipt of completed applications is 2nd April
