Commemorating Women in Irish History, 1912-22
The prominent role of women in the events to be commemorated over the next ten years can be viewed as the convergence of a number of different strands in the history of women from the 1770s onwards. The Commemorating Women in Irish History website (currently under construction) provides information about women's involvement in the events of 1912-22 as they occurred in six cities throughout the island of Ireland: Belfast, Derry/Londonderry, Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway.
